Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Boveda is the easy to use super-revolutionary patented technology that provides the world's first disposable one-step seasoning packets . It's designed to easily and naturally season your cigar humidor in within 10 days . The one-step seasoning will create a complete and even equilibration of moisture inside your humidor Use one packet per 50 cigar count capacity plus one additional, so use 3 packets for a 100 count humidor for example. Packets should be removed form humidor once seasoned and should not remain in humidor beyond 14 days. Read what Carlos Fuente Jr. has to say about Boveda products: "Boveda is, without question, the most effective product on the market for creating the proper aging environment inside desktop humidors. It's the same technology that I include in every box of Fuente cigars to protect them during shipping and distribution." - Carlos Fuente, Jr., President Arturo Fuente Cigar Company

I bought a new 50 cigar humidor and attempted to use one of these packs to season it while I was away on a trip. After calibrating my hygrometer and confirming the calibration, I dropped in the seasoning packet and left for ten days. When I returned the humidor was still at 60% humidity, completely unchanged.

I have to concur with the guy that knows what the products intended usage is. This product is not meant to keep a constant 70/70. It is meant to push the humidor past 70 and then you use one of their 69 or 72 packs to keep it around 70. br / br /If you use this system I would suggest you buy the calibration pack, the seasoning pack and 2 of each % packs for each 50 cigar humidor you will use. br / br /Actually, make that a calibration pack for each humidor you own. A seasoning pack for every 50 cigars you own. And finally, one of each % pack for each humidor you own plus, one more of each pack for every 50 cigars you own. br / br /When done you can pretty much be rest assured everything will sit evenly for months.

5 out of 5 stars This is a seasoner - NOT a humidifier   October 23, 2007

The reviewer above must have thought this was a humidifier. This is a SEASONER for your humidor. This seasons the humidor, and then you use a humidifier to keep the humidity constant. This product works for what it is intended for - seasoning.

I purchased 2 to use in tandem in a 50 cigar humidor. when i place my digi hygrometer on one side of separator with 1 package, its 65%, on the other its 71%. If u know much about cigars, that night and day. Even if u dont, do u trust a product that doesn't do what its promised? Its back to solution humidifiers for me...
