Ok, so you are sitting at home, enjoying a nice cigar and you notice that you can't see 5 feet in front of you because of all the smoke. This little baby will gently rest your cigar, or cigarette and the fan will suck the smoke into one of two small filters, greatly reducing the amount of smoke in the air. At this price, you have to pick one up. Either all black or black&white model will be sent.

 Not For Heavy Smokers February 22, 2010

This worked really well at first, but my husband smokes about two packs a day and he literally wore the machine out. In one month we went through all of our filters (which proved it was filtering allot of smoke) and the ashtray itself is on its last leg. While it honestly is the best smokeless ashtray that I have found -- it is just not made for heavy, continuous use.

I wanted this smokeless ashtray because I don't smoke in the house but now that the cold weather is here it makes it impossible to go outside or even to the garage to smoke. It sort of works if you keep your cigarette inside or at the edge when not at your lips. I was hoping it would be a little more powerful.

This ashtray works good. It captures the smoke well and is surprisingly pretty quiet. The only problem that my wife and I have encountered is that we smoke 100's and they do not fit good in ashtray they have a tendency to fall out.

it does work, as long as you have the cigarette placed in it - i 'm saying that cos i've noticed how my smoker friends have the habit to keep the cigarette between their fingers throughout the ... smoking ceremony.
you may become a bit annoying by reminding them to leave it in the tray after they've inhaled their smoke, but it's worth it.
I can't say if the batteries will last for a long time. So far so good.
Easy to clean, too.
It does have an annoying zzzzz sound, but you can turn it off once the cigarette is all smoked and done.

It does very little to help eliminate smoke. As long as you cigerette is resting in the ashtray, it absorbs the smoke. But remove the cigerette even a small distance, and it does nothing. Pretty expensive for what it does.
